I imagine the reason they got lukaku cheap is because of Rooney. make no mistake roms cheap deal will be due to them paying rooneys contract off

It's a world record fee for a chap with a hopeless first touch, a bad attitude and a tendency to go missing in big games. And tbh he could 20 goals for the next ten years and you could argue that it still wasn't cheap.

Lukaku has angered United officials after agreeing to give an interview to a leading media outlet in America.

United have still to confirm the worst kept secret in football after agreeing a fee with Everton for the Belgium striker.

But this didn't stop Lukaku from discussing his transfer with a journalist while he was holidaying in Los Angeles ahead of joining up with the United squad.

United wanted his first interview to be broadcast on the club's in-house TV station and website.

United just gave us Rooney who is worth 10 m of anybody's money plus paid half his wages for 2 seasons and all this out of the goodness of their heart.
I reckon the total cost of Lukaku to united is 110 m with the add ons included

We probably should have wrapped that one up before Lukaku left.... To be fair Swansea are just haggling.... We offered 32m, they ask for 50, we'll probably meet somewhere in the middle.... If it's 40m, in today's market, it's probably not a bad deal.... We are afterall looking for 40-45m for Barkley (and he's not worth that to begin with, especially considering he's only 1 year left)...
