As you say, I think it would be pretty similar also.I voted more but I suspect it's similar.
Where we fall down is our rehab and recurrent issues.
Our sports science team are clearly all willing yts trainees with no clue.
Other clubs, rolled ankle slight strain miss 1 game max
Everton, rolled ankle torn ligaments bones broken 6 months out then reoccurs numerous times
Doesn't help that our depth is utter toilet. Other clubs can probably cope better.
Always been a fan of exploring some conditioning people from US sports, not necessarily football. Our whole approach to fitness/conditioning is rubbish and has been under various managers which would suggest the problem is more deep rooted, ie a problem with the facilities (such as hard pitches which is usually down to hard clay soil underneath) problem with the staff (quite a few have changed over time though) and them just not being good enough at keeping players fit/healthy or is it the players themselves and just having a poor mentality and not looking after themselves properly.
One thing that always crosses my mind with it though (bit of a left of field shout I know) You have a world class School of Medicine in Liverpool, why not go and ask for some help from someone at the University who is a genuine expert in this area and let them see the players medical records and watch a few training sessions etc, etc and see if they can suggest what the issue is and why it keeps happening.
I'm all for that sort of thing we should look to advancements in other areas/sports for things we can use.Always been a fan of exploring some conditioning people from US sports, not necessarily football.
They always seem to be ahead of curve with regard to muscle fitness and recovery.
