For the second game in a row we had some terrible decisions go against us. I know we said it in the past but this is blatantly bad reffing, 2 tackles on Richy, Mings studs up, Gray pulled back.

Do we think it’s the new protocols or just targeting Everton

Why do refs hate Everton?

Refs are meffs but the players should play past that. Weakened squad and no one up front meant we lost.

Why do refs hate Everton?

Not just the refs. A lot of the people on this forum seem to hate Everton as well.

We have the worst referees in Europe. Standard is shocking. Watch the football league and you will see how deep of an issue it is in this country. They should hire from abroad.

That blatant foul on Grey in the second half just yards from their penalty box when the score was at 0-0… that was a seminal moment in the game.

Yep those refs are always out for this perennially mid-table side.

We didn't get a penalty for 14 seasons and we are always on the end of ridiculous referee decisions like today whem he ruled a perfectly good goal offside which was not.

The biased decisons against us was the spark for our trademark song No One Like Us. The refs favour home teams, the biggest teams and all those that support taking the knee. Wtf??

The referees are still adapting to this 'light touch' policy and until they've ironed it out then there'll be issues like this; well, that and getting decent referees.

Looking at VAR and how that took a while to really become correctly implemented, and it's still not perfect. I also feel that people are getting carried way.

In terms of Burnley, for me the infamous Richarlison tackle by Mee was a yellow and nothing more. Wrongly, we got nothing for it, but it's not a red.

Yet, Struijk got sent off for a tackle that wasn't a red, while Son did a similar tackle (in fact, worse due to the vengeance) and his ban as repealed.

The real issue here is the inconsistency. You're right, some clubs might not have got those decisions, but I sincerely don't think it's intentional bias.

I agree that it is unlikely that there is intentional bias, but it matters not whether it is intentional or unconscious bias, bias should be a bigger concern for the PL refs than it seems to be. They don't seem to want to upset some clubs

Yeah the reffing across the league in general this season has been poor so far. Dunno what they're playing at.

Not sure we did myself, just that very bad spell, Game was pretty even on just about everything [bar score at the end off course]

But if you make those sort of mistakes in quick succession then you deserve to lose. You can't afford that sort of implosion in top flight football.
