Everton change bridging loan from Barclays to company in BVI

How does this answer my question? If you're implying the bigger institutions are drawing in their horns and not offering the same deal as previous years you're going to have to back that up with facts mate...I know you''re a stranger to them, but still....

See post above.

Too big to fail ?

Or now too big to compete ?

Seriously Dave mate. You need to get out and see the world abit more mate. You've become locked in the "anti-kenwright thread" too long.

The very obvious point that the club is now pulled even more within the orbit of absentee and shadow directors who's motives for continued involvement in it for sporting purposes aren't clear.

"Sporting purposes" ? I doubt there are many owners/shareholders pulling their boots on on a saturday afternoon.
Could the possible input of finance (if it actually exists at all) be a 12 month rolling agreement to facilitate some sort of league entry requirement (operating within your limits type thing) or a yearly lump sum to show to the league that the club can fulfill its fixtures say up till christmas or something? A sum that is repaid at an agreed point (season end?) which then sits in an accout somewhere for 3 months gathering a sum of interest for the actual owner before it is lent to Everton FC again.
I am not and do not pretend to be some financial or corporate whizkid or even worse, some high powered financial accountant/lawyer that could wax lyrical about international business law and offshore financial regulation. (That wasn't an accusation)

I'm reading that as "I haven't got said facts to furnish my point with. Sorry."

So, I ask again: where's your proof that Everton have turned to a finance company working out of a broom cupboard in the BVI for a more competitive rate because the big boys over here have changed their terms?

In your own time....

Bloke called Conan it was. Said he has shares, he also told them about how they've stopped the AGMs, so don't get info as shareholders, don't get to question the board etc.

Dave asked him to email them the details.

AGM's not stopped, Extraordinary AGM's outlawed through abuse. It is impossible to deny shareholders info regarding the business they have shares in. Perhaps 'Conan' can stop telling barbarian sized whoppers.

The AGMs were also stopped, because the club (that nice Mr Elstone in fact) found a loophole in company law to stop them - IIRC it was something to do with shareholder numbers (might be wrong on that specifically).

He said they were banned from them, were able to listen in but not ask questions

Go listen to it if it's been put up on the BBC yet. See if the exshareholder is bull****ting

Well knock me down with a feather, as Walter said weekly 'disappointing'. I can only imagine the good faith shown by the board was nullified with the many and varied personal attacks and insinuations as well as demands made by those privileged to be invited in the first place. 20 20 hindsight allows me to wonder why the KEIOC and other such propagandists didn't get up in arms when Agent Johnson was moving in for the kill.

Why does every board thread turn into Damon vs Davek slanging match with a bit of Villa as a template.

Its so boring.

Because it starts with Davek bomb throwing and trying to make a case of (insert chairman, board, director, etc...) trying to rob the club blind, acting unethically, not acting in the best interests of the club, when clearly there isn't any case. That's when Damon gets involved.

No, clearly no case.

Lol!
