Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

Former Everton boss David Moyes has been keen on both Fellaini and left-back Leighton Baines following him to Manchester United from Goodison Park all summer, but infuriated bosses at his old club with a joint bid of £35m last week.

The offer was labelled ‘derisory’ by the Merseyside club and it now appears Moyes has returned with a single offer for midfielder Fellaini.

wouldn't put any stock in the 20 rising to 24 amount the y got the joint bid wrong by 7 million in the same article so obv a manc side leak

Not trying to be argumentative, but David Villa is on the last couple of years of his career.

Age does play a part in this too.

Fellaini not even at his peak yet.

How much did you think we would get for him??

There were hardly any clubs throwing themselves at him when his release clause was still valid

He's worth what someone will pay

The thing people are missing is that we want and need to sell him for Martinez to start to build a team, Utd know this

And United want and need him. They have a new manager who has been a miserable failure thus far in the transfer market, and we have a player under contract for three more years.

We can't start to build a team in the next four days. All selling Fellaini would mean is that Moyes has bent us over a barrel and taken us like a bitch.

Screw that. We shouldn't sell at this point in time, full stop. We should take the same stance as Liverpool did with Suarez, and with us it's thoroughly justified.

We should tell the player and the Mancs that the offer has came in too late and they can do one. If they hadn't pissed around with the first bid then maybe we'd have something to talk about.

He's had five years of Premier League experience and is so highly rated that the reigning English champions want him.

And we're four days away from the end of a transfer window.

He's easily worth £25m.

At this point in the window with United under massive pressure to bring in new faces & us under no pressure at all to sell, we should have been holding out for 28 to 30 & just kept him if we didn't get it. Instead we've let United goose us again, total buffoons

People go on about Kopites over hyping there players well guess what we are doing the same with Fellaini

He's a good player sometimes great but he is far to inconsistent to command a fee upwards of 25m

25m all day long.

12 months ago he was the most talked about midfielder in the league.

He is still young, has a presence, still lot's of improvement in him.

Any less than 25m in today's market and IMO we have had our arses slapped.

It's how I see it.

Big improvement for them, make them stronger title contenders.

Leaves a massive hole for us. Losing arguably one of Europe's best midfielders for me without the cushion on a manager will replace him well.

He's worth about 25 I think. The only way you get ridiculous fees is if one of the infinite money clubs want your players.
