Everton Draw Hajduk Split

In respect of the game lads, Aberdeen went out to Rijeka, their current champions and spanked them 3-0 in Croatia just 2 years ago. Going through 5-2 on aggreigate. It really shouldn't be an issue.

Keep in mind that this season is entirely different and looks really promising for Croatian clubs. Rijeka just eliminated Red Bull Salzburg in CL qualifications, and Osijek eliminated PSV 2-0 aggregate.
Osijek lost the last game against Hajduk 5-1 and finished season 4th.

Everton is likely to go trough but it seems Hajduk this year has been stronger than ever in last 15 or so years. Club has finally come out of its financial misery and you'll be hearing a lot about us in the years to come.
Biggest uncertainty is that the team didn't play this good 6 months ago. So no real experience.
Coach Carillo is doing great job and so far the team is passing every test, Everton now being the biggest one.
On the other side if Hajduk goes trough to the group stages by eliminating Everton, we are contenders for eliminating rounds of the competition which is something like holy grail here and minimum Hajduk should play - if you ask the fans.

On a side note I've been to Croatia and Macedonia to watch football previously. I'd suggest the no colours route. Never had any problems as such however the potential was absolutely there but we went out our way to avoid It. Great country but their fans are mental and all logic seems to go out the window when it comes to opposition teams support.

I'd also say no colors. Probably nothing would happen and you would drink with Hajduk fans but you never know... Just don't be rude, cocky or condescending and you'll be fine.

Oh and Brexit means Brexit!

It is now being called Bri'ddance in many EU Member States.

You should stay strong and stable

Oh and there's Croatian biggest game tommorow. Dinamo and Hajduk play at 7PM CET.
Don't expect much from Zagreb's empty stadium and lousy atmosphere but there'll be probably 3-4,000 Hajduk fans.
Hajduk will play without 2 really good standard players so it'll be a new test for the newly composed team.
You should be able to watch it here

Probably because most of those guys were not Croatian or Hajduk fans but your own kids trying to be smartasses.

Also worth noticing that Osijek tore a new one to PSV few days ago and that defeat to Aberdeen was seen as a shock and that its Rijeka's only home defeat in about 70 games and they played the likes of stuttgart, lyon, sevilla, guimaraes, betis, liege, feyenoord. Aberdeen had its day and rijeka collapsed. You are probably 80-20 favorites but it could be interesting. All depends on how much you will care about the game due to your PL schedule.
We're 95/5 faves mate, Croatian league is bilge. It will be your greatest ever moment if you snatch a draw against us in either leg.

State of all these jarg sputniks coming on warning us to be dead respectful in Croatia or we will our heads kicked in.

We invented manners you horrid barbarians. Also we invented saving Europe from nasties as you lot can't fight.
Wow @chicoazul is playing the patriotic card and stepping up to defend old Blighty against the wicked foreign barbarians?! This thread has everything! Somebody raise the Union Jack and play God Save the Queen to complete this never to be repeated moment!

That's the best that the famous English humour and banter can produce? Sad times. Sad.

This is as cowardly as your people were when the Soviets turned up on the border, you seal molesting reindeer herding scruffs.
that's really rude mate. You might find it interesting that the biggest sport event during the second world war was a match played between Hajduk Split and British Army in Bari (Italy) in front of 40000 people.

After Italian occupation of Split Hajduk was offered to play in italian Serie A but the club rather stopped all activity than play for those fascists. Lot of players went to partisans to fight nazis and fascists and in 1944 all players that were alive were rescued from occupied teritories by partisans and moved to island of Vis and the club was reestablished as part of Yugoslav People's Army.

They went to play numerous matches against British army teams. The biggest was the one in Bari where half of English national team played against Hajduk. The captain of the team was Wolves and England Captain Stan Cullis (the guy leading the team on the phot obelow) as well as dad of later England manager Ray Wilkins and numerous other. In return match played in Split you had certain Davies that played for Everton.

So we have a lot in common, shared values as well. Too bad the city (and the country) has become more backward than 70 years ago. The saddest thing is that most of Hajduk ultras are right wing neo nazi scumbag that wants to erase the memory of these glorious days.

If you want to read more about it...
