Fella by me gets off, 80minutes, every single game and thats after he spends those 80minutes calling Ross every name under the sun.

My lads first match had two biffs behind us berating Beattie until he got subbed . Still moaned after we took the lead . Nearly exploded when Charlton equalised .Stormed out and missed McFaddens wonder goal

No we are not overrated. Every club has its fair share of biffs among its support. It's just unfortunate that they always seem to be sitting right behind you at the game.

I seem to recall some footage of a generation of 30 and under 'bishes' of their day booing our greatest ever manager and throwing cushions at what would be Everton's greatest ever team. Must be nice to pontificate and patronise in your old age when you've tasted success.

Also relegation scraps tend to bring out good atmospheres. Shock horror at fans getting behind a team that needs them.

As long as the current football continues to represent a no contact training exercise with a joke keeper then the criticism will continue to rain down from fans with high expectations for the club, just as it did in 83. The difference was back then people didn't make up every excuse under the sun for underperformance and try and pipe down fans who thought the team could do better. You also didn't have players and managers coming out complaining about the fans expectations unlike the current set up epitomised by Tim 'I know how good I am' Howard.

Thank you for your contribution. Can I surmise that you would have wanted Neville Southall sold back in 1983 sir?

I find it quite interesting that so many of you conclude that the problem is with the younger generation and I would like you all to expand on that point with specific details please.

As you very well know, the "problem" has sweet f a to do with age.

Fans who back the current management regime and those that do not back it do so irrespective of age.

But you knew that anyway you troublemaker.
