Just me who think souttar is a massive risk
Depends whose after him mate. If its Brands yes its a risk. If its Benitez yes its a risk. If its Terry from down the pub it's not a risk as I'd trust Terry more

I am sure they already did offer him a new contract...The club should be offering Mina a new contract and not let it run down, another massive mistake by the club.
What we will do is offer Keane a new contract
His biggest strength is obviously his height but he is Stoke captain and he has excellent defender attributes because he is a basic defender not much putting his foot on it and striding forward which you'll say is a "modern defender"
Stoke are going very well but I'd say we are will not be playing a high line so he will sweep up any long balls and look stop play through the line.
Only concern for me is price tag, talk if £20m is a bit too much considering he cost £300k and all he has done is play for Fleetwood (loan) and Stoke in 2 years. He is very one dimensional, just defends and in the Premier League you do need to be a bit more about yourself but looking at Maguire I'd say otherwise.
We need a defender that can actually defend tbh because Mina is the only one we have who can.
I'd say if we signed Souttar he would be most likely Mina's replacement.
I love Mina and he is our best defender but we are not getting 30+ apps a season and he is one of our top earners (£135k a week)
He has just over a year left so next summer is the perfect time to sell with AC Milan looking at him, he may feel that style of football would benefit his own body.
Well in that case this Souttar better be as good as Mina right now otherwise we are in a world of very big trouble.

Zat prefers the athletic but no idea what they're doing types. And tbf I get it because when those go right over time you get Raphael Varane. Far more frequently they don't go right.
Even Lucas Neill was better than Keane. No idea why he wasn't used even half as much as he was. Keane is just another typically disgusting 30m Everton mistake. Why do you feel the need to lie so much?
Richard Gough at 37-39 was one of the best centre backs ive seen at Everton...Watson as well and thats just in the premier league.
Compare them with Michael Keane.
Every single CB you've bigged up the last few years fits the same profile. Bringing up someone who last kicked a football competitively in 1998 doesn't really make the point you think it does. Why do you feel the need to lie so much?

All involved should take credit for that. From youth coaches to first team coach giving him experience. It looks as if Onyango is now moving from academy player to first team player... who gets credit for that?

Had a look through the Stoke forum, to see what they thought about him, they all seem to rate him, reads the game well, good passer from the back and dominating in defence only criticism I have seen is he turns a bit slowly,
none of them want to sell him, but expect him to go onwards to a higher level.
Looks a gamble, but it might pay off, if they rate him ,might be worth sending Branthwaite the other way on loan, same type of player maybe a bit quicker but less experienced suit both clubs.
I like Mina but his contract running low means we either give him a longer one , bit of a risk with the games he misses or we look for a replacement.
If we sign Souttar it once again highlights the extremely poor transfer policy of this club. To pay £20m for someone that hasn’t set foot in a top level league, and has a year or 2 at Stoke and Fleetwood, highlights why we’re in such a financial mess. It’s a huge risk for a large layout.
Here’s a mad idea, use our scouting network and pick a player up for a couple of million, if it doesn’t work out then you can almost guarantee you’ll shift him at no loss at all.
The setup of this club is a mess and needs to be examined before anything else
Do you sign a bloke from Stoke who is slow on the turn for £20mil or do you go for 40+ capped German internationals Ginter or Sule and give them a fat signing on fee?
Pretty obvious what to do.
In all honesty Zatman, I have no ideas who these people areDo you sign a bloke from Stoke who is slow on the turn for £20mil or do you go for 40+ capped German internationals Ginter or Sule and give them a fat signing on fee?
