I get your point but don’t think you can draw a parallel with Gray. Leicester were a very good side I am struggling to understand why Longstaff is not starring in that Newcastle side if he has anything about him. We can’t afford to have average players eating up wages anymore

Is he? They are both crap, we shouldn't be signing players just because they are better than Davies as that's nothing to judge a player on.

Also difference is gray couldn't get in a title winning team, or a regular European team, longstaff can't get in a team that's won one game this season.

Funny because im sure I watched Longstaff boss Utds midfield and set up a goal recently...

No mate, we want the club to stop signing massively shabite players that do not bring anything to do the club, the exact same thing we have discussed on the rondon thread when you were fingering yourself over him as well.

Genuinely think we could go and sign Sharon Osbourne tomororw on a free and you'd be all like "BUT SHE WAS FREE WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT"
 
We need an iwobi type player, but with additional skills regarding foot touching ball and movement towards teamplayers or goal, with the ball crossing the white line..

And how do we do this exactly when we are on the verge of breaking FFP already and need a RB, CM, LB and arguably another RW and thats not including losing Delph, Toshun, Siggurdsson, Kenny at the end of the season and needing to bring in a further 1-2.

Very easy to say "swerve dat player Everton and sign some ballers" not so easy to do when you have a few bob to sign abar 6 players which was the exact same issue we had in the summer yet the same suspects were moaning we weren't bringing in a 15 goal CF on a freebie instead of Rondon lol

Your so dumb it's unreal.

Look at what your saying, we cannot sign players due to FFP and our inability to shift players on contracts no other team are prepared to pay, your spot on... So your logic is then go and spend more wages/resources on more players that no other teams would likely take off our hand just because they are free and better than Davies.

But he’s still gash; buying someone coz he’s slightly less gash than someone else is not an ideal strategy

I think what @ForeverBlue92 is saying is we can’t sign good/ great players due to FFP so we have to build.
