I wonder if the proposed upcoming changes to FFP are having an effect on our transfer business?
From next year if the plans are agreed FFP becomes a lot more focused on wages than profit/loss.
When you factor James wages, Digne/Allans wages maybe the aim is offload these players in advance and bring in replacements on lesser wages.
I like Allan but he's 31 and will only have 12 months left on his deal come the summer - I wouldn't loan him but if someone offered a decent fee for him I would take it tbh although I think its paper talk.
