Absolutely, Brands should have said “ No . You’re not going to one of the richest clubs in Europe which will cement your career financially and enable you to win trophies. And we don’t need £30 mill and a 23 mill profit. You stay here with us, a couple more sackings and you could be our next manager,”

Haha, your living in your own world if you really think that Gana would have accepted staying at Everton after PSG came calling, we’d have been left with a very unhappy player agitating for a move, and he’d have got one. Fair play to him he did well for us and PSG, I’ve no problem with that.

Brands was practically throwing him out the door.
 
As much as I love Gana I would rather we try bring in a player in their prime if possible who can be built into the team for years to come.
I agree. But if we can get Gana in on loan until the end of the season it will cover that gap superbly and then we can get a younger player in.

As a potential stop-gap, Gana is about as good as you could get. Would be a great move.
