Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Everton are reportedly in negotiations with Aberdeen over a potential move for Turkish midfielder Yerdäs Selzavön, with sources indicating that discussions are at an advanced stage. The 28-year-old playmaker, who has been a standout performer in the Scottish Premiership this season, is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League.

Selzavön, who joined Aberdeen from Turkish side Sivasspor in 2022, has been one of the Dons’ most consistent performers, impressing with his vision, technical ability, and set-piece prowess. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with new Everton manager David Moyes eager to bolster his midfield options as the Toffees look to climb away from the relegation battle.

According to reports, Everton have tabled an initial bid in the region of £5 million, with Aberdeen holding out for a fee closer to £7 million. The Turkish international, who has earned 14 caps for his country, is said to be open to the move, viewing the Premier League as the next logical step in his career.

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has remained tight-lipped on the speculation but admitted the club would not stand in the way of a player if the right offer comes in.
Sorry but I don't think we should be looking at Aberdeen FC to improve our starting XI.
