Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Really don't know how you lot put up with some of the pompous, supercilious clowns on this forum
Way to many kids posting on here now, putting me off this forum of late, to many copy cat posts of utter nonsense and brainless comments. They really think real world football is played on consoles and have a high opinion of themselves, loving to be proved right with negativity. I pop in occasionally but reading through the kindergarten is very tiresome.

Love all the financial experts here who have clearly had tons of time to go over the club's books and know exactly what the situation is and what to do and who' to blame. Same shoite, different window. Would I like to see more signings? Sure. But maybe we're restricted by that sword of Damocles that's hit us twice already. Want to see if the third time really is the charm?

Best way to think of it is every penny we spend in January we won’t spend on the summer.

If the deals aren’t right I’m happy for this window to pass us by.

Said is last week anyone we bring in has to improve us over the next 3-5 years, not just the 3 and half months.

Problem with Harrison for me is i don't think he has much more ability than what hes showing/showed so far here.

I think what we see from him is what he is.

I maybe wrong like

I just think if Moyes is being shown a wide player for 15 mill that he’s not sure on at all then he’d rather keep Harrison as first reserve for Ndiaye and Lindstrom. He’s lost his place in the team for sure but once McNeil is back Moyes will have four wide options that he probably trusts to work up and down and carry out his instructions. I just can’t see him putting his name to a ‘first permanent signing’ that he’s not fully vetted himself.

This seems extremely poor to not get some bodies in. Yes, we should be safe, but in order to look up and attract better players in the summer, we need to be a club on the up. If we finish 17th or 16th in a limp manner that's not great.

There's a lot still to play for. The Last 8 games at Goodison, the Goodison Derby bragging rights, the FA Cup.

To go through with what we have is genuinely ridiculous. If Lindstrom or Ndiaye go down, it’s Young and/or Harrison on the wings. Plus, if Beto goes down, who do we play upfront?? We are relying on 3 very injury prone strikers coming back ahead of the initial schedule AND staying fit.

It would be stupid and poor to go with what we've got.

EDIT - letting Armstron go too when we might end up having to do something like shift Jimmy Garner to RM if we cone up short is also madness.

Hope Moyes comes out and says "we'll go with what we've got". Pure nostalgia. The meltdown on here will be fantastic to observe.
Tbh still is time like the alcarwz move could be moves in the background ready to go. I just get the frustration, think most of us would accept another loan just to see us over the line
