Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

No one deserves an inch of patience at this moment in time. Evertonians have shown patience for 30 years.

No one was asking them to come in and splash 50m this window but we needed players (before the 2 latest injuries).

Here we are, discussing Everton trying to get a loan deal over the line when a medical was completed yesterday. Theyre the owners, they should be leading from the front yet here we are bumbling about as usual.

Another dreadful January window to go with the last 20 odd windows

My take, clean house, anyone appointed under the old owners, get rid, by Big nose Kev and the entire scouting network, of two old fellas reading the echo as their research.

Would have been fine with no Hollywood - but 1 loan given our injuries seems...odd.

Can’t see either Moyes or DOF turning down an opportunity to bring someone in who would improve us - which makes me think, there were opportunities but it was felt those who would come wouldn’t improve us.

TBH think Thelwel had a plan for the window and Davey torpedoed it, which in essence makes his position untenable.

They employ Kevin Thelwell yes? Maybe they should have torpedoed him to the sun whilst they got rid of Dyche and just leave it to Moyes to select transfer targets because it sure as hell looks like Moyes hasn't wanted to go all in on any recommendations of Thelwell.
Be funny if Thelwell was told we needed to keep PSR room available, for it to be used to subsequently sack him tomorrow

Yet Sky still saying it’s not done and Everton asking for more time.

Are they gaslighting us all so we will all feel really grateful that they managed to complete 1 loan in the whole window? 😂

KT job is broader than doing transfers mate.

Giving managers carte blanch is one of the reasons why we have had such a tough five years or so.

I think we've known for 2 weeks how frustrating it was going to be. I think Moyes and Thelwell have exhausted their options but feel like there's a misalignment between those two. Moyes won't just accept anyone which is the standard we need to set.
I don’t disagree that we should have higher standards but let’s get to the safety of the summer before we start becoming idealistic.

With the way the table is condensed this year, it wouldn’t take much to kick us up 3/4 places in the table and with that comes millions extra in revenue and we start to look a more stable proposition to any prospective players in summer too.

If we have scraped safety by the skin of our teeth again, how many elite players would fancy coming if given the option of a club like even Palace who are in London and never seem in any danger.

Watch this just be confusion over the fact that it hasn't been announced and that they're doing a deal sheet on the fullback from Rennes or something.
