Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Right wing I guess, he has played a fair bit there but his best football was in the middle floating about as a no10/second striker type. Goes against everything Thelwell said about our proposed transfer model though, ie over 27 years old, likely high wages, it seems an odd link imo.
I don’t think Thelwell even knows what his own transfer model is. He’s another one I assume will be replaced next summer.

Everton eyeing January move for Hakim Ziyech

The Friedkin Group have an eye on the summer transfer window as an opportunity to make big changes to their squad.

But according to the French outlet Jeunes Footeux, there could also be movement next month with Hakim Ziyech a player on their radar.

This comes amid interest from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais who are also credited with an interest in the 31-year-old forward.

31 years old, see fit he is planning for the future he will be able to take Ashley young’s place in a couple of years

Lewin has not been interested for a while now and hopefully he will be on the way in January if only to get a fee for him. Beto has always looked like he will be much better in a slower league, play just seems to bypass him but then again that could be the Dyche style of play which attacking wise is pretty horrid.

In a perfect world Rona buy him for 10-15m in January.

They can then punt him next year and recoup the fee … win win for everyone

I guess that's a decent benefit of the owners having access to both clubs. Certain players may suit the various leagues better. DCL and Beto may be better over there, dunno who they've got but they might have somebody rapid, athletic and tactically great might look great in our side. The owners know the financial rules of both sides and can maybe tweak things that both improve the ability to make transfers and shift players between clubs.

That would immediately point to TFG not knowing what theyre doing both financially and in football terms.

Only an absolutely stupid ownership (as they have been at Roma) woule not fully back Thelwell.

Nothing stands out.

Le Fee has flopped since joining so he may he of interest. Sangare and Dahl are two young full backs which may be interesting.

Cristante has been linked a few times.

Their youth sides have some highly rated Italian internationals.

From the article I read, it said we were in for him last season, before he signed for Galatasary. Now he has publicly said he wants to leave. But there is no real interest from us, just that we were interested in the summer when he was on a free transfer. It’s a different proposition now that Galatasary would want a fee and we have new owners

I agree , takes a massive set of balls to keep playing Doucoure and Harrison despite the fact neither of them have managed to pass a ball to a man wearing an Everton shirt this season
Yeah, how does Dyche dare to continually to pick fit players over the plethora of imaginary superstars on our bench.

I know we’re not necessarily planning for a long term future with Dyche but I have a hard time believing we’re in for a 5’9 striker for our current system

I have mentioned him before, excellent in the Euros, would love to see him here but yeah in a Dycheball setup that would be interesting. He needs it into his feet so he can dribble past defenders or just shoulder them out the way with pace.
