Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Tough one that, Hall has way more experience but Chucky reminds me of Onana who Moyes was desperate for West ham to sign.

Btw if you actually look at what Moyes says pretty sure he wants two attackers and a central mid. Wonder if he wants that loan spot for a striker though....
Take it.

There must be a striker abroad that we can loan. We have foreign loan spots still IIRC

We would of been battered by spurs under ginger nuts, not a chance we score 3 with his tactics and spurs would of been all over us, why don’t you get behind the team/club for once instead of consistently finding/making faults
Moyes made changes that led to Spurs scoring two and us hanging on...against a team with hardly any Spurs starters in it.

If Chelsea have offered us a "choice" then surely it's very likely that one of them will end up here. Need at least another forward in then and perhaps unlikely, an LB would represent as good as we could hope for. Moyes seemed to suggest yesterday that three in was too much to expect. I'd take two.

Has Chuck ever put together a run of first team games? Big upside based on his potential but slight worry about him being ready to come in and play every game. Guess that's the same for anyone being let go in January except someone moving up from the championship.

Dunno mate, I'm going off having seen Moyes improve players a lot exactly in that age range, Arteta, Pienaar, Baines, three of the most notable ones, but a good amount of others too - I don't know how good he is developing up lads from the academy level but on the early twenties he seems to really get them maximising potential.
That’s a slightly (well completely to be honest) different point though. We can of course hope that giving Moyes any collection of players in their early 20s leads to him finding some sort of magic formula with them, but I don’t believe there’s much reason to believe that the specific group of players you named should be seen as hugely exciting.
