Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

.
This is probably true, but you can do the buying now and the selling in June.

We are close now to getting out of it but an injury crisis is the one thing that can pull us back in. I’d argue that stretching the budget now would not only relegation proof us but also get a start on the summer rebuild.

Clever clubs can and do find ways to sort PSR before the years end and we should be clever too.

Let’s hope the combined street smarts and brain power of Moyes, Thelwell and TFG can work something out!

He does mate, it's just that he can moan for England, if they have gave medals for whinging, Dave would get a platinum.
I guess it depends how you view "supporting" a club. It's fine to call out things are that clearly wrong, and also to think the club has made the wrong choices, but if your starting point is always "everything is terrible unless I'm shown otherwise" I'd argue that's the exact opposite of support.

Indeed. We are going to need a productive, starting, non-gamble, proven goalscoring striker in summer anyway. If there are any available now, throw the money at it. The PSR hit would be negligable as only half a year of their annual amortisation would go into this next set of accounts. Could probably cover that by selling another kid to Villa for £10m at 100% profit in June, even if JB got injured and couldn’t be sold.

So Ive read that U21's dont count towards loans. Evan Ferguson is 20.

  • Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
  • The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
  • Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
  • A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

It is worth noting that these restrictions don't apply to players under the age of 21 or "homegrown" talents, who are defined as players who have spent time at their current club or another in the same country for at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21.

That's some top sleuthing mate on this the game of ball at foot mate! ;)

Or the Everton Toyota Stadium gets announced between now and end June 😎

Where's this come from?
It's via the odd few saying it on Twitter yesterday. Mangala the 9months. And it was said Lewin was 8-12 weeks

Mangala was supposedly also out of last Saturday's game with Brighton through a Hamstring though, off course he was'nt. So time will tell, more than likely in the P/C this week when we hear officially

Ornstein and Boyland reporting that were interested in Ferguson on loan, but with the Broja situation it's unlikely, as we would have to take one of Chukweuma, KDH or Chilwell if we were to send back Broja

We cant afford Chuk or KDH outright i imagine, but could probably buy Chilwell for around £10mil + add ons. Him and Ferguson on loan would be what im after but would understand the reservations given their injuries and drop off of form
