Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Be a few of these in here over the next couple of days.

General Moshiri. Years ago you served my father's predecessors in the fight against relegation. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Premier League. I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person, but my team has fallen into a relegation battle, and I'm afraid my mission to bring you back to Goodison has failed. I have placed information vital to the survival of the team into the memory systems of this recruitment database. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this database safely delivered to him at Finch Farm. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Farhad Moshiri. You're my only hope.

There are loads of proven international strikers out there - Jonathan David, Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Boniface; all available for transfer.

Can we afford them?
Would they come to Everton?

Who knows...

Nothing wrong with making offers even if theyre longshots.

The problem we have is that while Thelwell can stick with targets, lying in wait for several windows...like a sniper stalking his pray;

Moyes chooses to take a knife to a gunfight.

And already got one lined up for the summer!

Kone is on loan with obligation. He's already been playing for them and looking good this season.

I suspect

Change in manager
Three significant injuries changing priorities given limited funds

are the main factors, plus things start moving closer to the end of the window.
I agree with you. I think there will be incomings at the very last moment. We just got to hope whoever comes in has some sort of positive impact, because if they don't and we lose at the weekend, we are back in real difficulty.

I would imagine we will see action (if any) if the result goes against us on Saturday. If we beat Leicester we will go 9 points clear of them with a game in hand (yes I know it’s the RS). We’re currently 7 clear of the others so I think they may look at whether it’s likely to catch the teams above and if not, keep their power dry until summer even with the injuries.

I know I'm not the only one but this is driving me mad, desperate for something to happen!

You should get out more.

Go for a walk to a decent pub. Find a great ale on tap. Not some mass produced lager. Find a quiet spot in the corner, switch off the phone and enjoy some quiet reflection time.

Find some inner peace. Then order another pint of something different.

Don’t stress about Everton.
