Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

It really isn’t don’t waste stupid money on crap if they are good enough to play straight away then get them otherwise avoid.
I agree with you , but the need for re enforcements has never been higher. Imagine all this hardwork and momentum undone through another two injuries to key players.

Mangala and dcl both had injuries pop up from nowhere, that could happen to pickford, Branthwaite and Ndiaye tomorrow. Just imagine that .

Jep, the thing is we'll need 2-3 more players to have depth than this season. But this is what we need, quality upgrade, loans and free transfers combined.

Angel Gomes, Walker Peters, Gasiorowski for example would be some really good free transfers to get.
The first two would be ideal for sure...

Gomes may not be as disruptive as gueye but he could take over as that deep lying playmaker we've missed since arteta...

Walker Peters ticks all the boxes, pace, can play both sides and is a tidy little player, walks into the team and means we can bin off Ashley young

They would be massive transfers, as I expect clubs with better sportive position to be in competition, it would be a great achievement getting them.. Gueye for me should get another year, still very solid on the pitch.

But it's also now the chance to finally to sort out the wage structure. We can afford being 11th, maybe even 8th at the wage bill, but shouldn't spend it on underperforming players like DCL or Doucoure, Keane or loan Harrison.

Because being 11th on the wage bill with the squad we have this season, is almost a disgrace, despite already having terminated a few contracts.

Walker peters and sulemana would be good business with Southampton going back to the championship

I hope you’re pleased with yourself.

Just back from the game.

I think we are ok upfront with Beto and Ndiaye for now, and with the injured three coming back in March.

We are short on the wings. I would try to get 2 in, one on loan and one on permanent.

And I would try to get Kyle Walker Peters, Myko has improved but in a Moyes system a quality attacking left back can be transformative.

Problem with that is KWP is a right back and very very mediocre on the left

Unless he falls off a cliff the next few months which there's zero signs off, it's an absolute no brainer to give Gueye another year
