Delap is a proper Everton number 9...

Would love it to happen but I think that would be very hard to get that one over the line.

City have a buy back clause, which is no doubt about £40 million. They'll probably exercise it and then offer him out for £70 million and Chelsea will buy him!

Given our tiny squad for next season it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he came in. Tidy enough player and a decent work ethic.

Filling the squad and inflating the wage bill with second rate players just to fill a hole is how we fail to progress upwards in the first place.
