So Tuson comes in off the bench rather than Simms.. it's because Carlo wants to win.. a Simms not ready for the PL is at very least a slightly better option than Tuson.
If he was he would've come on instead of Tosun. Carlo sees him training with adults every day and knows more about how he perform against non u21 players, we do not.

There are a few reliable ones, John Percy of the Telegraph is really reliable but mostly midland clubs I think.

Adam Leventhal for Saints, Watford

Ornstein is very reliable, particularly for Spurs, Arsenal.

Simon Johnson for Chelsea

Talksport of all outlets broke the James deal and another if I remember rightly.

Oh yeah there's a fair few - anyone who works for the Athletic, Percy is very good but as you say all his sources are midlands-based (so if we signed Grealish, he'd be the first to know).

Burt in the Telegraph first broke the news on James IIRC.

So someone who can score and create goals, tracks back, wins the ball with super slidey tackles, quick, tall, strong, responds well to constructive and destructive criticism must have leadership skills and be prepared to work on own initiative for large spells and sporadically in a team environment

Essential; must have smouldering eyes and thick bronze thighs

Not saying Simms is any good like, but we can all see how tosun performs against non u21s when he comes on each week and is pathetic. He literally doesn't offer anything. At least Simms would show a bit of enthusiasm

I absolutely loved it (the build up to him signing), the change of hotel, he's left on a plane, which restaurant was he at lol
And the suspense of wondering if it was all too good to be true and would fall apart at any moment...

I'm ashamed to say, as a grown man in his 40s, that it was a long time since I was as happy at 2 in the morning as when I saw social media images of James strolling around Liverpool in the middle of the night.

Then the season started and we were the Mersey Galacticos for seven matches. Ah, halcyon days. Sadly, if all fell apart at Southampton...

But what a ride. And the season was fun, too.
