Last year of his contact and looking for a final pay day. Bournemouth turned down £13 million in the summer, hoping he would get them promoted but his heart isn't in it so they're trying to get some money. He may well decide to stay as he could make more money in the summer.
Sounds just what we need.

He signs for us gets us in to Europe gets a contract.
Joins us totally fails, gets a likely PL club

Signs for Fulham, bk in the championship next season. Last chance of a big club ever signing him again
It’s a question of risk. He’s 29 now and an average PL player at best. His priority is security. We are not offering that, we offer a greater risk.

So it makes sense for him to opt for the path of least risk and greater security = Fulham.

We are not in a position financially to make long term perm deals.

"Ornsetein is guessing" have a word lad, He's one of the sauciest sauced up journos in the game.

You really think a bloke who only really knows transfer gossip RE London clubs knows the inside and outs of Evertons accounts/finances?

Did he or anyone know about USM's purchase agreement of the stadium naming rights before it was announced?

He'll likely be getting that line from his buddy O'Keefe who's chums with Kirkbride and the Echo lads who constantly tell the world how skint we are and will only be doing loans and freebies then we go and spend money...

If the WWW was around in the ‘80’s Howard Kendall would’ve been crucified for signing Peter Reid or Andy Gray before they’d kicked a ball.
For some reason I read WWW as world war three and it sounded somewhat casual to just say that world war three was "around".

No mate, Ornstein is very good.

He's very well connected with a lot of agents and people who operate on the financial side. He knows his stuff.

O'Keefe and Paddy Boyland do too, but they get what they get from the club, and nothing more. A few agents they're good with as well.

They're good lads. Well, Paddy is anyway. Know a bit of a cringy story about O'Keefe but he's a good enough bloke from what I gather.

Everton's financial woes is public news, Everyone knows we're in a mess currently until Uncle Ussie give us some pocket money (£200M) in the summer.
