Everton need a new owner as top priority

A new owner ???? Who would buy us and who could afford us. It would not be on the current hopeless state. A priority is to get points to avoid relegation before anything else. We cannot afford to risk the rest of the season with taking on new owners or managers.

Kenwright barely sacked any managers, doesn't make him a good owner

he struck lucky with Moyes

sometimes you get lucky and find the right manager for the right team hence why i believe Newcastle are doing so well right now. They got the right manager in, he's signed the right players and has coached them really well

if the manager is not getting results he deserves to be sacked, sometimes it's not the owner's fault these things just happen. Chelsea sack numerous managers and are still successful winning trophies and getting top 4 most seasons.

deep down, i believe that there is a manager out there that can get these players to actually play decent football, they just need a decent manager with the right mentality
Seriously I don’t believe that there is a manager out there that can get these players to actually play decent football. Week after week there utter crap,

If there was a buyer out there then we’d have already been sold, Moshiri has a decent wedge of cash tied up in the club he may nor may not ever see again. How much of it he wants to keep could decide how quickly he sold us, I’m guessing like most investor billionaires he wants it back eventually with profit, (definition of investor)

No keeping hold of Lampard is a risk he’s not doing the job I’d rather risk a new manager coming in than stick with what I’ve seen over the last year

The club finished while this man and his creatures like Kenwright remain in power. Until they're purged the best we'll get is more of the same.

I agree players are also the problem and aren’t good enough but I’d like to see a manager try and play a system with what he’s got that at least gives us a chance Lampard is clueless leaves subs too late and again he doesn’t have much on the bench either, but I think we definitely need to take a risk bringing someone new in cause as it stands we will go down with Lampard.

The situation at Everton needs to be looked at in the context of the overall picture, over time

Sacking manager after manager is surely papering over deeper problems

Clearly there has been some poor financial planning under Moshiri, despite some obvious positives and him being an accountant (!). And then losing the Usmanov connection, which is now seen in a new light

A new owner is clearly a priority to freshen things up. A new Chairman could possibly come as part of that

This may not happen over night / this season though

The other obvious ongoing weak point is fan mentality, but this is more difficult to solve, unless some fan leaders stand up and start taking responsibility

Would fans have the resilience to not destabilise a continuation of the current setup whilst we wait for an ownership change?
Great post, far too sensible, the longer Moshiri hangs on the more we are gong under, and the more his asset will go down in value, if he gets out now he is going to get a much better return then he will with us in the championship with zero star players.
Get him gone, get a new owner, with a new board and possibly some spends and things might get better. Moshiri staying is only going to make things worse

Perhaps Moshiri himself should speak rather than leaving it all to Frank - and lay out a plan to transition ownership to someone with the firepower and value add to restore stability at the club and take it to the next level...

People might accept that as the key corrective action here, rather than sacking FL
