CONFIRMED: Everton complete signing of winger Yannick Bolasie via Royal Blue Mersey

Koeman wanted some pace, and now he’s got some

After all the talk over the last week or so, winger Yannick Bolasie has put pen to paper and is now officially an Everton player on a five-year contract..

He was on Merseyside yesterday and passed his medical barely a day after coming on for Palace as a substitute in the second half against West Bromwich Albion. In a twist of fate, Everton travel to the Baggies this Saturday and it is feasible that Bolasie could feature again in the game.

Rumours in the media have the transfer at £25m, with potential add-ons that could Make the final price up to £30m, a club record fee albeit in today’s inflated market.

The Congolese international is 27 and was born in France. He played at Bristol City before Palace and penned a new three-and-a-half year deal with the Eagles in September 2015.

The winger was a fan favorite at Palace where this chant was born – expect this or some variant of it to continue.

This is going to be stuck in our heads until the end of time, isn't it? #EFC #CPFC https://t.co/iqoP0D3Wk6

Everton have completed the signing of Yannick Bolasie.

Everton are expected to pay an initial £25m fee for the France-born DR Congo international, with a fee potentially rising to a club record £30m.

The 27-year-old winger had made clear his desire for a fresh start after four years at Crystal Palace, with Palace manager Alan Pardew a reluctant seller but accepted Bolasie’s “heart and soul may be elsewhere” after Everton formally lodged their interest last week.

Crystal Palace to target Moussa Sissoko with money from Yannick Bolasie sale via The Guardian

• Alan Pardew keen on reuniting with Newcastle midfielder
• Liverpool’s Christian Benteke still on manager’s radar

Alan Pardew hopes Crystal Palace will use the money raised through Yannick Bolasie’s £25m sale to Everton to reunite him with Moussa Sissoko, who is keen to leave Newcastle United before the end of the transfer window.

Bolasie, who came off the bench in Palace’s opening day defeat to West Bromwich Albion, signed a five-year contract at Goodison Park on Monday having passed a medical over the weekend. The deal for the 27-year-old could potentially rise as high as £30m with Bristol City, who had inserted a sell-on clause into the winger’s £350,000 switch to Selhurst Park four years ago, due a sizeable tranche of the fee.

Goodison Park is BACK! via ToffeeWeb

Whilst the game was a real challenge and the result was one we would have taken prior to kick off, the mood was very positive after the game as we sunk a few beers in the city centre. We have to accept that the season is going to be a learning curve as we adapt from one style to the next and get the players fitness up to scratch.
