Transfer Rumour Everton poised to make £25m bid for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney

Celtic fan here. Firstly I'd like to say I'm shocked that this could possibly be happening. For me Tierney is hands down the best young left back in Europe. For a 21 year old the ability and maturity he's shown is incredible. He has everything, he's quick, tricky and most importantly a tremendous defender with a cracking final ball. At 20 he had already captained Celtic and Scotland and has snuffed out some of the best players in the world in the Champions League. He's adaptable and can play also right back and central defence. He had 14 assists last season. A lot of people talk about how good Van Dijk was at Celtic but for me he has the potential to be better than him, he's certainly been more impressive in the Champions League than Van Dijk was for us. He can be the best left back in the world if he continues improving at the rate he has been. Hands down a better player than Andy Robertson is, it's not even up for debate here in Scotland. Best talent I've seen at Celtic since Henrik Larsson. Obviously I don't want him to go but if he does I'd rather see him at Everton than Man City or Chelsea. If I had to value him truthfully I'd say he'd be a bargain at £35 million especially if gash like Madison has went for £25 million. I would rather he stayed though even if a bid of £35 million was made. He'd slot in at Man City, Man Utd or Chelsea right now. Would be the signing of the summer if you guys pull it off.

He's really good

I'd be amazed if we pulled this off

Mikey, players don't move from Scotland to a top side anymore especially into the starting 11, those days are long gone, which means Tierney has two choices, accept being a squad/backup player for 2-3 seasons at one, looking at the lads character can't see that being an option, waiting a few years at Celtic, by which time he will get 23-24 and still in the exact same situation if he moves re clubs, or move to the best of the rest in the probable likelihood of a further bigger move in 3 years or so.

Same path stones, vvd, Robertson, wanyama,, Lukakuhowed will work

If the 25m valuation is accurate its a no brainer for me. We cant go into this season without getting in a decent left back. He is young with a high ceiling if coached well which i think he would be under Silva.

He’s not moving unless it’s for first team presumably so all this demeaning of the Scottish league won’t cpunt for anything. He won’t be sitting on our bench and he will be expensive if we pull it off.

He'll go for at least £35M and I'm sure there'll be quite a few clubs in for him. No European football will put him off coming here, but the wages wont.
