Transfer Rumour Everton poised to make £25m bid for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney

kierney is nowhere near worth £25 mill. He's been steady against the dross of the spl but when up against better quality he has been roasted. Check out games against psg and barca etc. He can't get a game for Scotlands worse ever national team, someone needs to do their homework. He'd be okay for back up

Oh hello ;)
Did you join just to tell us this?

Having watched quite a lot of Scottish football, Tierney is the best player in the entire league, which is some feat for a left-back.

VVD, Wanyama etc have done alright since leaving there, haven't they? Even Southampton fans thought they were coming from a "pub league" and wouldn't make it. £25m for one of the best young left-backs in Europe would be an absolute steal.

Perhaps we could loan them Robinson to sweeten the deal? I think Celtic would be an ideal location for the likes of Dowell and DCL as well. Maybe even Tom Davies depending on what Marco/Marcel do with our midfield.

It seems to be the way, I'm afraid. I've been here for two days now and it's a stream of xenophobia.

Hopefully the Scots who voted to remain are watching.

And for some strange reason they tend to think that their Championship is akin to La Liga.
You have been warned about false racism allegations by both @AndyC and I.

Banned for now.

We take this seriously and bam any known instances of racism. Please report any seen. Thankfully it’s not something we see often.

I would like to see that happen purely on the basis of how cool he would look in that kit

Said this about Davies to a Rangers fan who's a friend of mine. Would be a really good loan, massive clubs, regards, fan base, pressure to win etc. But out of the glare of the English press so to speak.

Not going to improve playing in a substandard league

He wasn't going to improve playing with no coherent structure or guidance under Koeman or Allardyce.
It's seems its not doing Keiran Tierney any harm in his development.
No harm done to VVD.
Come to think of it Larson did reasonable at Barca.

Or Barry Ferguson or Aidan mcgeady or Gary hooper etc etc :coffee:

If we're loaning out our young lads they're much better off in the championship rather than strolling through games against pub players north of the border

There's not many full-backs in world football that wouldn't get roasted by Barca/PSG's forward line, especially at age 21.

If he does come, I'll trust Brands/Silva have done their homework and give the lad my support, instead of writing him off in advance.

Also, what's with the green font... :coffee:
But you would though, he would stand out as being the best player in a bad team. You can see it with Ryan sessegnon, Alli (when and mk Dons) and neves.

If you you really want a great player bid 50 million for sessegnon, at 18 you can see this guy is going to be one of the best lb in the world.

Picking out the names of failures doesn't back up your argument or weaken mine.
I also said to some Rangers fan friends when working up there years ago, I would love Everton to sign Arteta. Guess you consider him a flop as well. Gattuso probably too? Richard Gough?

The standard of football was much higher back then.

The failures outnumber the success stories ten fold. The fact is players coming from Spl are more than likely to be massive flops rather than successes, that's usually why you see players go to weaker sides first to prove themselves first before they end up at bigger sides

The flops are flops because they're not good enough.
Davies is a talent. Playing regular competitive football for a huge club would have been tremendous for him this season gone. Instead he was tasked with running around like a crazed man with no plan.
