..i’m a huge Baines fan, but getting his wage off the book would virtually off-set Tierney’s initial salary. That appears good business. It’s a new regime, a new start.
Didn't think about it that way.
Maybe that's why the left sided cb from France has been mentioned as he can cover lb. If that's the plan we have some smart cookies steering the ship.

2 unproven full backs? Its a no from me.

Baines is proven, but moreso proven to be a bit too slow for the PL and unwilling to get up into attack. Tierney has show some degree of success in the CL. Again, I'm not a huge fan for Tierney, think he's good, likely an upgrade over Baines, but would rather look elsewhere, but is he that much of a risk over a 33 year old Baines?

I think that's why Vida is attractive. He can play LB in a pinch. You can have Tierney come in with Jedi as the understudy knowing you have an insurance policy so you don't have someone like Martina playing that can destroy your entire season.

Baines is no longer at the required level. Would rather take a chance on someone who could be than stick with someone who definitely isn’t. I’m not sure what some people want. A highly sought after player with CL experience is rumoured and people want to keep Baines?! I guess anyone apart from Marcelo would be derided and even he probably would be for being too old or too attacking. Moan moan moan moan.

If we buy him, it would be our biggest statement in the market since Lukaku.

Ive no issue with buying this lad at all.

Cant say ive seen him play, but people who have think hes tip top.

Ive no issue even with moving Baines on IF KT and Robinson prove able.

But until they do, it would be a mistake to bin Baines IMO.

some people aren't getting the tweet, it says 145k by the end of the contract

85k now if he signed, do you think if we signed for say united they would put him on say 50k? he'd be straight on the big money that's how clubs attract the good players

don't even think we will sign him, but for 25 mill and 85k id be made up, been crying out for a left back for years and weve been linked with this one who looks absolutely quality ( poor league yes ) and people moan

VVD is one of the best CB in the league and he come from the same team

Luke Shaw is on over 100k per week

The Dutch league is probably no better than the Scottish league but people want to sign Lozano because of a couple of World Cup games and because he played well in Holland , his price will be well above 25m.

So, to keep some people happy, we must buy quality players, from strong leagues, for paltry fees....alright then, let's see how that works or us.

How many more dressing rooms do you want him to pollute with his snide insurrections?
