Everton positivity thread

I had concerns I was having a heart attack going back to my seat after half time. I was sweating profusely and had various pains. But apparently I am just a fat unfit blert, so thats a positive. :)

I was quite pleased by Ian Wright admitting that he'd got it all wrong with regards to the headlock nonsense. Most modern pundits would just never address the issues again or pretend that they never said what they said but he admitted that he'd got this wrong and apologised. Maybe if more people in the media did that when they make mistakes they might have more credibility and respect from the general public/audience.

I am, as some might have "guessed" of great age. I thought the time had come when I should ask my children and grandchildren if in the event of relegation I should renew our season tickets. The answer from all was astonishment that I should even suggest it. Carry on was the cry. There is hope for the future. Cmon you Blues!

As a historian (a failed one, but still), I tend to take the long view of things, and as such, I think it's fair to say that regardless of the club's struggles in the here and now, its historical legacy is a proud and noble one both on and off the pitch. And, of course, Everton in the Community deserves special commendation for its long program of helping scousers learn to walk on their hind legs.

Kudos, people's club.

I took grandson number 3 to his first game against Leicester City in November. I was gutted about the result, but even worse, I was upset at the thought that it may have put him off. :(
Despite the result in that game and the continued poor run of results since then, he remains as keen as ever and eager to go back.
In fact when he found out that I went on Saturday without him he was genuinely disappointed.

Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things (lesser fulfilments like Everton winning the legaue) shall be added unto you.
