Everton Pre-Match Fun!

Hey Folks,

Looking for a bit of advice with respect to pre-match pints in Liverpool.
I live in Ireland and am a life-long supporter, however I've only been able to afford to go to about 5 games so far (Luckily one of them was 7-1 against Sunderland ). Gonna try to get over for the Norwich game towards the end of the month and was looking for some pub advice.

We've tended to follow the same routine when going to matches. Always end up having breakfast in the same place then off for a few pre match pints in a bar up on Hanover St.... watch the early kick-off till half time and then head out to the stadium.

Would yis recommend heading out somewhere near goodison for pints beforehand instead? Note, like everyone we like to get into the stadium in time for the obligatory bets and chang

Cool, sounds good, any particular bars you'd recommend? Just remember having deadly craic with the travelling blues fans in Chicago back in 08 and would love to be in that sort of pub atmosphere again.

ive been the black horse a few times to watch the early game, its not bad.

Depends on the match, Norwich will be not as busy I would guess so maybe 1:30 ish if you want to sit down.

We are running a good day in players lounge on coubty rd that day. Your ticket in will set you back £30 and arrival is 12.30. Early kick off on the tele and a bite to eat. After the game theres guest speaking from tony bellew. There is an unlimited all inclusive bar from 12.30 till 7.30.

Try the Ship and Mitre in town, loads of Blues and decent ale or the Barlow Arms near the ground - a lot of the Irish lads that come over from Dublin drink in there before the game.
