It's not the greatest of records to be honest - it reflects the fact that apart from Lukaku we've not had a striker in the PL era who can consistently be relied on to bang in 15-20 goals a season. If we are going to establish ourselves in the top 4 anytime soon we'll need to find not just one, but two or three top order strikers.

Yep , Osman 5th because of his longevity at the club , be interesting to see how far Wayne can climb , pity he didn't stay he would have been out of sight.

Barkley could one day have sat at the top of this. What an incentive for any decent striker of note.

Mind you, should slap Dean’s numbers on the wall and remind them all what Nil Satis really means.

It’s poor that we don’t have anyone near the 100 mark. Part of that is down to how fast players move on these days, as well as the fact that we have struggled to get a decent goal scorer in. Based on the fact that scoring 20 goals would be a good season, a player would have to be with us for 5 seasons to get 100 goals and nowadays if a player plays well for 1 or 2 seasons they are poached by a top 4 club.

Hopefully Wayne will stay till he is 40 and get about 10 goals a season and smash that record!
