Benitez no longer hanging round like a bad smell, some decent recruitment of players and new staff, and after what I thought was a pretty impressive first press conference, I’m actually hopeful the threat of the r word will soon be a thing of the recent past!

Depends on context, doesn't it?

If there are signs of promise and a clear direction, but we get unlucky with injuries or other teams going on mad runs, then maybe.

But if he goes mental and spends the match ripping his clothes off and screaming at kids in the family enclosure, I might want him to go.

He's got half a season with these players now and a good coaching setup with him so you'd like to think he'd have us heading in the right direction. If this group of players get relegated I'd rather Lampard stayed and we lobbed the squad in an enormous blender and started from scratch.
