Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

Balls!

There are hundreds of managers who could keep us up. Shame on the club for this shambles. They signed the club's own death warrant for their own self preservation. If you seriously think Sam is the only person in the whole wide world who can keep us up then boy you are mad.

And you are off your rocker if you think there are 'hundreds' of other managers who could keep us up!

Probably the dumbest statement I've read in here in a very very long time.

Get yourself back to champ manager

Honestly, why didn't we just keep Koeman? We were taking beatings from the top teams but were very much in the game against everyone else. We'd have easily limped over the finish line and avoided relegation with no need for this stain our club's history.
It really makes no sense. If we kept Koeman, we PROBABLY are in a better position than we are right now with Unsworth. If Fat Sam was the one they wanted, then why the hell did we wait 5 weeks to approach him to begin with?

Really disliked Koeman, it's a bit surprising that they seemingly are going with someone who I think is even worse for the club.

Relegation might actually be good for us in the long run. Moshiri would probably sell up so there’s a chance of a proper owner and we’d have to shift the deadwood and start again.

Gosh, you really think that. Imagine the loss of revenues, lack of sponsors, inability to attract players, etc. We'll be like Newcastle swapping in the championship league every other season.

We need to pull together and show positivity to the team. Saying they're no good isn't helping anyone particularly if a player thrives on confidence.

Would any other top half PL team put up with this? Evertonians are the most forgiving bunch and extremely patient. But this is the proverbial hitting the fan here. Biggest most divisive decision since Kirkby and the club will suffer for a long long time. Thankfully the fans were able to stop Kirkby, this time we are frigged

I'd say from 7th down...yeah.

We are mega gash

The clip of your defence and midfield yet most of you think some Johnny Foreigner with a cool sounding name could sort the mess yous are in (believe me yous are in trouble) out

We just need someone who can recognize that playing Baines, Jagielka and Williams means we have no pace at the back and therefore this is not something that should be done.

It just doesn't make any sense. Koeman at least seemed to still have high expectations and was perplexed/annoyed with us languishing in the bottom half. We're now appointing a fella who absolutely relishes it.

The team was a complete mess under Koeman, the summer was a catastrophe - but we'd have at least stayed up and I reckon probably comfortably. It really didn't help having those fixtures we did at the start.

They thought Unsworth would keep us afloat until we bagged Silva.

Longer that went on and we nose dived...they've made a decision.

I think he's always been on the list.
