Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

If its a "until a better manager(Big signing like Simeone or Touchel) comes during the summer", Im kinda okey with Allardyce until then. If he's the permanent answer - we're totally and utterly screwed. I dont think its a good enough appointment as a "caretaker" until someone like Silva comes. Thats too much of a gamble after a gamble.
Either way, he seems like a better choice than Unsie, even though we all want him to succeed, it just doesnt seem to happen for him.

It's true isn't it, if we get Allardyce then it's all true.
She looks fit.

Koemans brand of football was no more attractive than Allardyce, let’s be honest.

worse infact.

at least Allardyce moves the ball quickly from defense to attack and has actual shots on goal.

also favours wingers and crosses into the box.

does not pass for the sake of passing.

I think we are all sick and tired of our defeners passing it to one another before cluelessly going back to pickford who humps it forward. its doesn't get anymore 'longball' than this current way anyway. and we haven't even got the long ball players to make it work.

Palace weren’t even in the relegation zone! Sunderland had played 8 games! Neither of them were seen as anything remotely resembling Certs to go down, that’s just what fat sam wants you to believe. You think it was a coincidence that he was gobbing off about how bad we are the other week? It’s just part of the narrative, makes him look like a miracle worker when he averages 1.2 points a game with a team that was averaging 1 point a game, after he’s added £300k a week to the wage bill.

You could be right.

I dunno, it's all looking a bit worrying though.

This would be painful whoever was in charge.

But there will be no pleasure in the prospect of seeing Allardyce's dour play every other week. We do need something to look forward to!

He will not want to stay long - he left Crystal Palace in order to retire.

Evening Standard 9 October 2015

Sam Allardyce joins Sunderland: Former West Ham boss named new Black Cats manager.

Allardyce will be tasked with plugging the worst defence in England's top tier as Sunderland have conceded 18 goals in their opening eight games.

The Independent 23 December 2016

Sam Allardyce will make his return to football at Crystal Palace after agreeing a two-and-a-half year deal to take charge of the Selhurst Park club.

Allardyce, who was dismissed as England manager after just 67 days in September has been installed as Alan Pardew’s successor after agreeing a deal worth around £2.5 million per year that will run until 2019.

The 62-year-old will take charge of the team at Watford on Monday when he will begin the task of steering the club away from the lower reaches of the table following a dismal run that has brought eight defeats in the last ten games.

The players he had to work with were awful. I doubt Mourinhio or Guardiola would have done any better.

Not saying I think he's as good as them just that you can only work with what you have. People thought Sunderland and Palace were certs to go down when he took them over. I'm not trying to make out he's a great but I can see why the board think he's a much safer bet to keep us in the Premier League than others we've been linked to.

Whoever we get we can't afford to get it wrong.

And the players at Everton are too good to go down or so some say.

Other than how much they cost or past reputations I am waiting to see any signs that the bulk of players currently in the squad are anything other than relegation candidates.
