I find it hard to disagree with @davek mate. If allardyce approaches this job with the quick fix attitude of his previous jobs he will leave us worse off. Look at every team he's left, they've all been worse off. We actually need a real DoF with Sam in charge, someone who will buy smart and not leave us in a mess while Sam just does the football and training.

But he doesn't want a quick fix. We did. We offered him that and he said he wanted a longer contract.

Now the board have finally realised how utter garbage we are and gone back to him to name his terms.

People bang on about him leaving teams worse off.

The calibre of teams he has managed, is it surprising that when he has left, they eventually go down.

Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle and Bolton were all premier league teams when he left them. Their boards are responsibly for their relegation for not investing properly in there own teams, Venkys , Ellis Short, Mike Ashley, all stood by and watch their clubs implode,

Give the man a bit of credit, he has kept some right tripe clubs in the premier league.

This will be the biggest club he has ever managed, with the biggest cash backers he has ever had.

As i have said before, he is certainly not my first choice, but given our position at the moment, we cannot attract the calibre of manager we all want.

This appointment is partly due to the players though. There’s never been a bigger bunch of spineless biffs assembled in one squad. A complete unprofessional sham. We couldn’t go for an up and coming lower league manager because this lot would have the tools downed before he even got in the door. Foreign technician like a Tuchel or Rangnick? Don’t make me laugh. Yagz, Wazza Ash and Bainezy aren’t about to be told by anyone how to play a different type of football. Nah, straight under the bus if he dares change a thing.

Martinez took them to their prem record then they threw him under the bus as soon as he began to trust them to play for themselves. Koeman came with an authoritarian line but that doesn’t go down well in der boyz club.

As much as I hate big Sam, this group of players have got exactly what they deserve. I hope he has them running up sand dunes until their legs fall off the useless turds. The entire defence has shunned playing football for successive managers so now they can w joy death by video analysis and Sammy Lee telling them where to stand. Mirallas Siggurdson Klaasen didnt fancy doing basic things like putting effort in, I hope they enjoy the 50 yard sprint after the long diagonals they’ll have to make after every 30 seconds.

Apart from some of the youngsters and Niasse I wish Sam Allardyce to do his worst to the rest of them as there is no buch of fwits more deserving than these cowards. I hope it kills all their World Cup dreams and some of them look back at this period and realise they ruined their own careers by thinking they were bigger than Everton.

I’ll never forget what some of these frauds have done to this club. Schneiderlin Williams Martina I can personally never get behind them again.

Not happy with this at all. If we wanted a manager of this type we could have gone for Moyes, Dyche, Pulis, O'Neill or a host of others to be honest, wouldn't be my choice but would back them.
If Allardyce lasts to the end of the season he will probably keep us up . I'd say that's about 50/50 with him getting caught in some transfer sting in January and dragging the clubs name through the muck.
