Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

In all seriousness though, yes he didn't last 5 mins with England, but the very fact the FA were prepared to offer him such a closely followed, high pressured job suggests they thought he could cope with it.

Probably the hardest managers job to take managing England with all the media circus that surrounds it & national expectations so he's obviously got something about him

And Everton will be the biggest club he's worked for. A chance to build his reputation back up by doing well

maybe allardyce always planned on it being a 6 month stint with us but didn't want a 6 month contract. If he signs for 2 years and we bin him off after 6, he'll get a decent payday. I can't think he's after a long term appointment (money yes... I mean time in the job) as didn't he sort of semi retire after his last position at Palace? And he was only there from December to May.

I will never support Allardyce. Simple as. I'm an Everton fan and he is against everything this club stands for.

But your ok supporting Duncan Ferguson who's been to prison? Or Moshiri who's most likely not become a billionaire in a legal way?

And I'm sure we don't know the half of what goes on behind closed doors.

Double standards.

I wanted a new man, looks like we have one.

So maybe stop complaining about it as we know he isn't here too long and just appreciate the fact we should stop losing games..

Oh and moyes will be gutted he jumped so quickly at the west ham job now
