I think our front 3 will operate as a unit, the number 9 will of course play centrally, with the number 10 playing either right or left, but with very much a free role, the player on the other wing will play as a SS. All the width will be provided from the wing backs, with 1 in midfield tasked with being a stopper and the 2 players infront box to box midfielders.

I like it but I worry our fullbacks aren't up to the intense task this requires. Baines is still good but doesn't get forward like he used to at all, and on the other side we'd need Kenny or Martina (lol) to absolutely knock it out the park somehow.
By all accounts Martina is pretty decent going forward, its just the whole defending thing he struggles with. Would be very taxing on poor Leighton tho indeed, but in a season where we could play around 60 games, im sure we will have something lined up with regards the LB role.
