Its a stretch I know, but, he was very much in demand and his transfer fee is basically a free transfer, no reason why a good agent could have got that IMO.

Also gives us a lot better protection - cheap contract means anyone can turn his head easily by promising higher wages, over 100k that list becomes a hell of a lot narrower
