Instead it just makes you look like a flapping little oddballThis thread is supposed to make you lads not to give up and thrown the towel in so early.
We'll have a DVD out as well.7th on goal difference. BK will then say the good times are back because we had a top-seven finish.
They will leave.
4-2-3-1
Begović (captain)
Patterson Godfrey Tarkowski Mykolenko
Gana Garner
McNeil Iwobi Gray
Calvert-Lewin
It's far too early to be worrying about it obviously but I think some replies / votes are overestimating the championship. Even if we don't spend any of the money we've got in from sales we can flesh things out with extensive use of the loan market- the top clubs would be keen for their young stars to get experience at a big club but at an easier level to progress them. I'd be pretty confident in that squad with some decent loan / free additions coming back up.Since a lot of you have thrown in the towel, let’s take a look at my predicted squad for next season. I expect the tap is off so let’s assume there won’t be money to spend. Meanwhile, we also need to cut down the wage bill to the Championship level.
Manager:
Unknown, certainly not Lampard.
Your 25 men EFL Championship squad. We could loan in one or two attacking players as reinforcement.
Keepers:
Begović (He will sign a new one-year deal to become #1; contract expires June 2024)
Virgínia ( He is playing regularly for SC Cambuur. As we are struggled to get rid of him permanently for ages, he could be back as competition for Begović; contract expires June 2024)
Crellin (3rd choice bench warmer; contract expires June 2024)
Right-backs:
Patterson (Starter obviously; contract expires June 2027)
John (I have no idea who he is; contract expires June 2024)
Centre-backs:
Tarkowski (Starter and the leader at the back; contract expires June 2026)
Holgate (We will be forced to keep him. Maybe a new manager means he will get more game-time in particular playing Championship football; contract expires June 2025)
Godfrey (Starter. CB with pace and should be a top player down a division; contract expires 2025)
Branthwaite (Not getting much time at PSV. He will be back as rotation player; contract expires June 2025)
Welch (Promising CB as back-up; contract expires June 2026)
Left-backs:
Mykolenko (Starter, he should be alright in the Championship; contract expires June 2026)
Nkounkou (He is getting fair amount of playing time this season and should be back as competition for Myko; contract expires June 2024)
Midfielders:
Iwobi (Starter, the main creative player in the team. He can operate on the right, as a CM or AM; contract expires June 2024)
Gana (Starter, the experienced defensive midfielder should be one of the leader in the team; contract expires June 2024)
Garner (Starter, he had proved that he was a good Championship CM who can take good set-pieces while with Nott Forest; contract expires June 2026)
Price (Promising youngster who will get game-time as squad player surely; contract expires June 2023 but I expect he will be given a new deal soon)
Warrington (Another promising youngster playing regularly with Fleetwood Town this season. He will be back as back-up; contract expires June 2024)
Wingers:
McNeil (A player with no pace and won’t change but he will do much better in the Championship; contract expires June 2027)
Gray (Starter and he will shine in the Championship. The Club will take up the one year option; contract expires June 2025)
Mills (Promising youngster and should be getting minutes; contract expires June 2025)
Dobbin (He comes back from Derby with more experiences on his side. Rotation player; contract expires June 2025)
Strikers:
Calvert-Lewin (Starter. No one will take him since he is a sick-note. He needs to be the top scorer in the Championship to prove his worth and fitness; contract expires June 2025)
Maupay (He will be benefited by playing as a second striker off Calvert-Lewin. I would not be surprised if he gets 12-15 goals or more as his past records in the Championship proved that; contract expires June 2025)
Cannon (Back-up; contract expires June 2025)
Simms (Rotation striker as he had proven he can score in the league; contract expires June 2024)
Players sold for discount price for various reasons:
Pickford - England #1 probably off to Spurs. With a year left in his contract, we will get around £35m if we are lucky.
Keane - He will leave for something like £8m to Southampton.
Onana - I don’t think he will stay if we are down, he is a Belgian International. Some PL team will take him for £30m.
Gordon - Since we are down to the Championship, Newcastle will pay around £30m with £5m-£10m add-ons max.
Gomes - Off to Lille for £2m.
Kean - £28m incoming.
Players who will be released after their contracts expire: Mina, Townsend, Doucouré, Coleman, Davies, Vinagre (loan return), Coady (won’t join a Championship team), Lonergan.
ForEVER loan cos no one will pay us fees for them - Gbamin and Dele (contract expires for both: June 2024)
To sum up, here is your team for 23/24 season. Now cry lads cry
4-2-3-1

PS: (Please - the owner, the board and the DOF, do not let this happen. Sign us a couple of good attacking players ASAP, we cannot afford to relegate. Thank you.)
Everyone knows John. TBF I stopped reading after that. We're screwed. We (club) deserve to be relegated.Since a lot of you have thrown in the towel, let’s take a look at my predicted squad for next season.
