Given the number of signings we're going to need to bulk up this squad v the budget we're going to have uninspiring but practical signings like Brownhill on a free are going to be a necessary part of the plan. Would be hard to be excited about but also hard to object to in the position we're in.

One I'd actually go for would be Sander Berge, by all accounts their best player this season, has experience at top level and 6ft 5 in so would fill the Onana void in midfield.
Probably fits more into the season long loan category.

Fair enough. I couldn't pick him out of a line up tbh and can't remember ever really noticing him play. Although I don't go out of my way to watch Burnley.
I mean we will still sign players over 27, despite what Thellwell said, it might not even be up to him in the Summer......

Wouter Burger who plays for Stoke could do the Onana role and I doubt he would cost much, big lad who can pass it about and gets stuck in there and breaks up the play in the middle. Stoke have another player who is a proper gem though, 20 year old Korean wide player Bae Junho, it's only his first year in English football but he is on a different wavelength to the rest of the Stoke players. He is trying things that if it was Foden or Palmer you would hear about it for days. He can see passes on and runs well before teammates have gotten there. Quick, creative, good on the ball, ghosts past people, the kid is a new Mitoma in the making.
