Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

how on earth is elliott anderson worth 35 mil is there a deimal point missing?
[...]
i genuinely think this anderson fella is about the same level as tom davies
I'm in agreement. I like Elliot Anderson, and he's a solid player with decent potential...but £35m feels steep. Even with both the English and potential premium.

I'd have thought possibly £15-25m as the range. He's played a fair number of games in the Premier league to a reasonable standard, and has room to develop, but to a strong mid-table Premier League player.

Also just noticed Inheachehho fella is out of contract.

Never really rated the fella, but on a free??
Wages at Leicester were already huge. I'd imagine he'd be looking for a Bosman payday on top of that and, although he's decent, he's not worth anything like the money he will want

No idea, I’m not a scout. (I’m also not complaining about Broja necessarily but it’s a lot of money for someone with 8 PL goals in 3 seasons). But DCL cost 1.5m. There will be players out there.

Just to point out, Broja is far from proven. Chelsea have been demanding £30m for years and no one has ever been willing to pay it. They can demand what they like, doesn’t mean he is worth it.

Also. You say him having talent 2 years ago means he is still worth it as if it’s the next minute. It’s 2 years worth of evidence, not knee jerk.
He looked good for half a season at saints. Then he got that filthy injury that kept him out for a good year, so other then the saints spell I haven't really seen much of him playing to be able to properly judge him.

Chelsea certainly don't want him and you don't know how bad that injury has effected him.

So it certainly would be a gamble, which could possibly pay off. Just not at there valuation now.
