Looks like Brentford are getting that Lewis Potter lad from Hull

A poor mans Brennan Johnson.

Tbh the last thing we need is starting next season with 2x yoof prospects in Gordon and someone like Potter tasked with bettering Richys 10 goals and 5 assists on top of improving on that to get us higher in the table.

If the finances were better Potter would have been a good signing as an understudy but we're losing our best player and need someone more proven in the top division.

It’s really not the area of the team we need strengthening either. If we are looking to play a back 3/5 then we don’t necessarily need wide flyers, especially if Lampard wants to move Dele behind the strikers.

Even if we do go 433 we have Gordon and Gray with Dele and Iwobi as cover. There’s also then Dobbin who according to some on here was Messi in waiting last season so there’s no point blocking his pathway either.

We need need a CB, a utility fullback cover player, a DM, a creative centre mid, and a replacement for Richarlison to compete with DCL and Rondon upfront and maybe play wide.

We don’t need another young winger.

Many times when Richarlison signed when posters were crying about his lack of goals it was mentioned he hadnt had a break for 18months + had moved from Brazil straight.

Also his heat map showed him as effectively a 2nd left back, basically defensive midfield on the left flank.

Compare that with Dennis whose scored and done well for 2.5 months in his entire career. Nothing internationally....scored his goals mostly at centre forward.

Night & Day.

Plus the player had clear attitude problems at 2 clubs, maybe 3.
Have you compared heat maps etc? You talk about all Richies defensive work etc, but that's considered one of Dennis' strengths as well and progressing the ball etc.

I love richie and i know all he does, but you can't argue that its not just about goals for him but then only use goals for Dennis.
