Mitch Ward. So bad they named him twice.Mate, everybody agrees Sigurdsson wasn't the player we thought we were getting, particularly at the money we paid, but in a club that has signed Alex Nyarko, Mitch Ward, Claus Thomsen, Idan Tal, Marc Hottiger, Tony Thomas, Cuco Martina, Salomon Rondon, MItch Ward, Tobias Linderoth and Brett Angell he's nowhere near the worst. I doubt he makes the top twenty.
We did bid for Maddison, but he swerved us.James Maddison.
*dreams of a better land*
Better spending that 45m investing in the youth setup instead of spending it to make them leave. Not a chance we would have spent the 45m any better.
Good post, not a wet sheet in sight also.I can accept some of what you are saying, but, the injury crisis was far worse than when Ancelotti was in charge. We basically went a season without DCL.
Although Richarlison is gone, DCL is available and Gordon has had his breakout season.
Defensively we have Tarkowski who is an organiser. He will improve Keane and improve us when Mina is not available.
Mykolenko is a better defender than Digne.
Patterson, I just don’t know enough about.
Dele could show some form, and Iwobi improved significantly under Lampard.
I also think we will have more of the young players on the bench. I think we will get some pleasant surprises there.
Finally, we do seem to be after a more creative midfielder. That could be quite significant for this team as we struggled to create anything at all.
That was then. We chased Tarks, got him, done!We chased someone as mediocre as Doucoure for two freaking years before we eventually got him. We're not renowned for having a plan B ready to go - let's hope that Thelwell and Lampard are more organised than the clowns who came before.
We want him (I hope) ( he was great to watch last season, really stood out for SHeff UTD in their cup games), and so will possibly be willing to wait and the bed wetters will have to deal with it.I'd walk away now. If they don't want to sell him (for whatever reason), then we find someone else. The lad will have missed a chance for a good pay rise, regular football with a prem team and I doubt he'll be too happy about it. Its Wolves decision so leave them with it.
A free agent, hardly comparable. That was then. We chased Tarks, got him, done!
With suitors. We got him in, we got Patterson and Myko in in January, we will get others in this summer. If you look at our speding over the last 6 years, getting people in is not the issueA free agent, hardly comparable.
The word "could" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this post.I can accept some of what you are saying, but, the injury crisis was far worse than when Ancelotti was in charge. We basically went a season without DCL.

Ha ha, oops!Mitch Ward. So bad they named him twice.
