How is the Gueye deal not done yet? "Optimistic"?

Could be a few reasons mate, minor difference in fee - contract length etc, maybe trying to tie up a second deal with PSG on another player to do a double announcement thing (think we did that with Barca a few years ago

Hmm, probably a stupid question but do injuries get any sort of leeway in the line drawn on financial play?

Should Everton not be able to get in a 30m CB leeway?

There must also be a relativity in terms of strength of league for competitive virtue

Thats why you get such gaps between, in the top leagues

Else we determine competitiveness on fan base instead of place
Pretty sure there wouldn’t be much leeway as the ffp rules are just based on profit and loss.

That said if the PL are still involved in approving our budget and our transfers as was reported in the past, it would be worth mentioning to them that we’ve lost a valuable player as a result in part of the incompetence of their own match officials on Saturday.

So you're saying we're getting both Gueye and Neymar? Would certainly be two very welcome additions to the club.

Never change Evertonians. "Why aren't we signing anyone? We're getting left behind by not signing anyone! God, Everton do something! The window is passing us by!"

"We've signed too many players."
Literally didn’t read the posts did you? I was responding to someone saying that Forest are buying 12+ players, I was merely pointing out that even 7 is pushing it in terms of squad integration.

yep, if its just profit and loss, favorability wins over competitiveness every time.
the PL should be fighting for the competitiveness of the league within FP.
that is the PL acted like an actual football association rather than a corporation.
scouting with extra money for a CB, given the circumstances, shouldn't be a n issue in the real fair play of football.
