Garbutt was 21 and was first choice for Engkand U21 at the time.Garbutt as well
Why do you think we'll get offers for them now when we haven't had any all summer?
He was out of contract wasn't he? This way at least we secure a fee if (when) we choose to sell him.Garbutt was 21 and was first choice for Engkand U21 at the time.
Extending this lads contract at this stage doesn't make sense to me. Sell him, for free if necessary, with a buy back and/or sell on clause.
Do these small upfront payments for players this summer help with PL finance rules? So are we classes as only having spent £12m (£5m on McNeil and £7m on Onana) this season? Or doesnt it matter about the upfront fee's, the whole fee counts.
Just wondering if we can afford 1 or 2 more
Nice one BobMorning all. Here’s a snapshot of todays transfer news. A lot of updates on pending deals and mention of Serhou Guirassy again as the blues look to resolve the gap in attack. Have a good one.
French outlet Homme Du Match claim that Serhou Guirassy is open to joining Everton amid interest from the Toffees this summer. The colossal striker has impressed since joining Rennes in the summer of 2020, scoring 25 goals.
Indeed, that tally has come in the space of 80 games over the last two seasons. The Guinea international is a classic target man, standing at a lofty 6ft 7in. Reports emerged over the weekend that Everton want the striker.
Sunderland have a centre-back on their radar but do not know who to target to add further depth up front with Everton’s Nathan Broadhead set to join Wigan Athletic, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees could be set to make three signings in the coming week.
Writing shortly before Conor Coady’s confirmed transfer he wrote on his Twitter: “Talks at final stages for Gana Gueye too, Everton are optimistic.”
Romano also stated that the Merseyside outfit aim to conclude a deal for Amadou Onana this week.
Everton are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, according to Paul Joyce.
The Times journalist has reported that the Senegal international is currently negotiating a payoff in the French capital ahead of his return to Merseyside.
Idrissa Gana Gueye featured 26 times in the league last season, and also earned invaluable Champions League experience for Paris Saint-Germain.
Throughout the campaign, he also ranked in the top 5% of midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues for pressures per 90 and continued his trend of remarkable tackling numbers, as he also ranked in the top 7% for tackles per 90. He marries this with a 92.7% pass completion percentage, outlining him as a consistent metronome within central midfield.
Meanwhile, according to ChronicleLive, Newcastle United are considering making a fresh offer for Everton attacker Anthony Gordon.
The Magpies have thus far been frustrated in their pursuit of Leicester City's James Maddison and could allegedly decide to cool their interest in the England international.
Gordon has also been linked with the club this summer, and the report claims that Eddie Howe's team are considering making a new and improved bid for the Everton youngster.
Indecision from David Moyes cost West Ham the chance to sign Conor Coady from Wolves and allowed Everton to nip in and sign him.
That’s according to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg who claims the Everton took the lead in the race for Coady whilst Hammers manager Moyes was mulling over whether or not to sign him.
PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is said to have turned down a move to Southampton this summer, according to Kiki Musampa.
Speaking on ESPN's Good Morning Eredivisie show, as reported by [Publication is blacklisted due to spam], Musampa said: “There was English interest. Southampton wanted him but he didn’t think it was the right club. Everton also wanted him but he also had his doubts about that. Those are the clubs that are not safe in the Premier League. The danger of relegation is great.”

No. He had a year remaining. If we are going to get a transfer fee for him why would that be more likely in the future than it is now.He was out of contract wasn't he? This way at least we secure a fee if (when) we choose to sell him.
