"Well what do you expect when we sold Richarlison and Gordon in the same window". Really hope we don't see/hear this next May.

Yes agree it needs sorting one way or another quickly. But if you like a player regardless of the lists any DOF worth his salt will have done due diligence and examined all the options and costs associated with all the players ie Terrier who we couldn't afford but we might be able to if we have incoming funds from sales. So we should know how much our targets are if and when Ant is sold... And move swiftly to enact that plan after the sale. I said this after Richarlison was sold, but seemingly we had to spread that money out over multiple purchases. The Gordon situation will 100% be affecting incoming business . They’ll have an A list and a B list of cheaper lower quality. They can’t really move until they know whether they’re armed with the Gordon cash or not. We clearly can only afford a player from list B at present, but there’s no point getting a striker from that list if Gordon is then sold and we could have went for a much better player from list A.
This Gordon issue needs resolving ASAP.
He does?Huge test for thelwell now. Obviously Lampard wants to keep Gordon.
My worry is we splash out on a player like adama traore/Gibbs white from his wolves collections and get Broja on loan which for me won’t get us enough goals.
I
Well he’s been pretty vocal about it in pre season? He does?
I have a feeling he cares more about his job than Gordons. And if, by selling Gordon, Lampard thinks he has a better chance at succeeding than keeping him, I reckon he would be ok with the move.Well he’s been pretty vocal about it in pre season?
On MNF they've just analysed Man Utd recruitment over the last while and slated it. Only one club have been worse!!! I don't have as much faith as lots seem to have in reinvesting and kicking on coz I haven't seen it in a very long time. Would love to be proved wrong btw.Anyone crying over this transfer honestly has me perplexed. Aside from Pickford and Richarlison I don’t think there was a single player from last season’s squad that I’d have been upset at losing for £15m at most and would’ve given most of them away for nothing. Gordon for £45m+ is more than I could ever imagine.
If you honestly think that we can’t improve on objectively one of the worst forward lines we’ve ever had and are lost without him then I don’t know what to tell you.
Ah yeah. I’m not saying he will leave or anything, this is the best Job he can have but he obviously highly rated Gordon.I have a feeling he cares more about his job than Gordons. Well, it IS Everton. What was that Churchill said about us Yanks? "Americans always choose the right thing to do after they've exhausted every other option"? Just replace Americans and Everton and let's see if we've learned anything yet.Ah yeah. Tbh if you can’t improve this current squad after selling Gordon for 50 million then you’re in the wrong job.
