I’m not sure that’s quite how it works though?! If we’d had better players then maybe we wouldn’t have been relying on a couple of blammos scored at the start of the season to keep us up at the end.
Relying on a couple of blammos is not a viable long term strategy.

Even if they don't do it well? Brilliant. You should chuck your hat in the ring for DoF when Kev gets the boot. You seem to have similar ideas to our revolving door of DoFs when it comes to evaluating quality.

They represent value in a time we dont have lots of money to spend.

Actually baffled how you and so many don't get that.

They may not score 30 a season, but they contribute, and dont cost much.

5 subs now changes how we need to build our options.

It's an absolute disgrace that this club has gone since 2017 with substandard strikers.
DCL had a purple patch for 1 season when everything bounced off his shin into the net but he has never been the answer. He is so limited that even if he wasn't injured I would have been looking for a striker not to be his backup but to replace him.

Why are we only considering striker options now
Sure, a goal scorer what's needed.
Also, we may get better value and more options as team improves in the next couple of windows.
Hoping a Lampard managed, Onana-Gana-Iwobi midfield turns this lot upside down, shakes out the trash and attracts a better player.

Januzaj on a free would be good business imo, zero risk and adds to option for those 5 subs.
Don't like Januzaj at all, never progressed at all in his career since he was at United. Maybe consider it on a 2/3 deal on very low wages but that's not gonna happen. If a player is only 27 and is still a free agent when the season has already started that almost says enough about him really, if he was any good he'd have been picked up by loads of teams, look at Forest for example, if he was still good enough for the league they'd probably have snapped him up as one of their first signings, like they did with Lingard.
