According to a post on here a while back that quoted the rules chapter and verse, we are not restricted in number of foreign loans mate. Only restricted to 2 in UK at any one time (can't be from same club) and up to a max of 4 per season.

So we could loan another foreign player?

Yeah I think it’s a misreading of the rule. The rule only relates to domestic loans. It says you can only have 2 at any one time and no more than 4 in a season. People have read that as 2 domestic and 2 foreign but it basically just means you can terminate 2 domestic loans and get 2 more in to replace them.

Prediction:

The more this attacking situation drags on the more I can see this lot turning to Alfredo Morelos.

Think about it - end of his contract at rangers; they're on the way out of the CL qualifiers; scores a few goals up there. The sort of tat Everton would go for.

I looked this guy up, am I wrong to be not very impressed?

In my opinion yes.

He is just 22 so a year older than Gordon. His stats aren't great because he has had a couple of injuries so hasn't made a huge number of games for Ajax. But the injuries seem to be knocks rather than muscular, which tend to be more repetitive. If you watch his youtube videos you will see somebody who has exceptional close control, balance and dribbling ability. He is an established International for a nation that qualified for the world cup and has a 1 in 3 goal ratio for them. He reminds me of a left footed Jay Jay Okocha and can play as a number 10 or wide right in a front 3. As a loan it represents a low risk low cost acquisition and the option means we can make it permanent if he impresses. It's a low cost replacement for Gordon should he go and means we could invest his transfer fee in replacement strikers. He has lots of potential but begs the question why are Ajax letting him go.

Who knows whether he will make the mark up to the Premier League, but it's well worth a punt on loan IMO.

Don't see us going in for him at all though tbh. Nor should we go in for any player just coming off the back of a long term injury. We cant take a risk like that
