I'm not particularly impressed with what I have seen of Gallagher either.

We should tell Chelsea that AG is 100% not for sale and put a counter offer in for Mason Mount of £15 mill plus Gomes and Holgate.

I wish we had gotten Luis. It bothers me that he was so close to us, within our grasp, and then a few months later Liverpool just stole him from us ?

Haven’t they actually been right on a few things this summer though. Think I remember Coady and maybe Maupay rumours starting at them in terms of journalists, they were also the first ones to break the Kudus story that even though it wasn’t true Joyce and The Athletic both reported the same after.

The story is from FootballInsider and its the Wayne fella, who is less than reliable than the Pete fella, who himself is quite unreliable.

Yeah, on paper it would still be separate transactions but that in theory (if I understand all this correctly) would work more in our favour- if we could put, say, 80m pure profit on the books for Gordon then the two players at 30m get amortised over their contracts I assume that is extremely good for this year’s p&l and therefore for the FFP calculation for the next couple of seasons.

Obviously that’s totally hypothetical as the bid is totally made up but you can see why we would insist on something like it.
