Fended off interest for Gordon.

We ABSOLUTELY need at least one more forward player but, even if we don’t get one, anyone crying that this is incompetent/negligent, or generally acting as though the club aren’t trying to address the multitude of problems we have is just whingeing for the sake of it IMO.

People will say that not signing another forward will be proper Everton. Nah, what would be proper Everton would be to spew a year’s wages on Batshuayi or splash £15m on Diaz in a panic, so we can all log on here every day for you to tell us what a waste they are.

Too much sense
 
I'm not sure why people are shocked that the deadline day will be all hype / little action ? It literally happens EVERY time.
Leave business to the end / no plan .... rinse and repeat.
Tons of rumours today as media want click bait / twitter journos want followers. We're probably doing very little because we cant afford to. Once we decided to keep Gordon, many options evaporated. TBH .... I half expect us to sell Gordon an hour before the deadline and not even get Gueye over the line. This is Everton !
 

Gana and Gueye, Kudus later on today when we increase our offer and player waves his loyalty bonus - will be announced in the wake of the chelsea deal for their dm.
Broja, Watkins or Pedro in last second.
