Agree, if Maddock is right and we’re still discussing two strikers I’d bet Diaz is one- it may well be the other is preferred and Diaz the fallback. He’s just up the road so can afford to go quite late on him. Cannon or even Rondon going the other way might ease the deal.

i agree we do need the scoring addressed

but i think we can be simultaneously happy about the work that's been done on defense and the midfield and upset at the lack of progress w forwards

66 goals conceded HAD to be addressed. I acknowledge that and have done so a few times. However, we need to score...because, as we've seen, that has placed us near the bottom of the table after some very winnable games...so I suggest this lot stop piling up midfielders and spend some cash on a striker.

Waiting for the actually names we are after regards forwards don't really rate Maddock as a source. Maybe one is Diaz but as we get closer to deadline surely some good loans will come up

I'd take them both to be honest, lad from Russia would have to be cheap given what's going on there, Ben Brereton Díaz we'd probably have to get done pretty soon as Blackburn will need to replace him and they'll know full well he's going for free in the summer with every minute that passes, gonna be an awkward one for them.

Fulham apparently made some paltry bids and second one was slightly more than the first so I think it's still feasible
